ANNE HUBER TRIPP
Mrs. Anne Huber Tripp, 73, died Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Hospice Savannah.
The New York native and resident of Michigan moved to The Landings in Savannah in 1992. She taught American History for over 30 years at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan where she retired as a full professor. She also lectured at the University of Michigan. Anne received her BA at Wheaton College in Massachusetts where she was later a trustee for 18 years and received her MA and PhD from the University of Michigan. She also worked in Washington, D.C. as a cryptanalyst. She attended St. Peter Episcopal Church.
Surviving are, her husband, Dr. Robert Tripp of Savannah, her brother, Charles C. Huber and wife Mary of New York, her nieces, Betsy Port of Massachusetts and Ann Zoghlin of Illinois, her nephew, John Huber of North Carolina and seven grand nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's, Episcopal Church on Skidaway Island.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Wheaton College, Norton, MA. 02766 or to Hospice Savannah Inc. P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, Ga. 31416.
